What it is
The flagship review channel: home, wellness, gadgets, and the everyday buys people actually spend money on. Products get used before they get rated.
What it does
- Home, wellness, gadgets, and everyday purchases.
- Hands-on testing — no repackaged spec sheets.
- Parent brand for the JDubb Reviews and Dubb Outdoors channels.
How it works
CommQuest covers the things people actually spend money on every week: home and kitchen, wellness, gadgets, the unglamorous middle of a shopping list. The rule is that a product gets used before it gets a verdict, which sounds obvious and rules out most of what passes for reviewing online — a rewritten spec sheet is not a review.
It is the parent brand of the network. JDubb Reviews took the tech coverage and Dubb Outdoors took the field gear, each with its own audience and its own site, and CommQuest kept the everyday-products beat.
It is also where Dealophant came from. Pricing products for reviews meant doing per-unit maths constantly, which eventually turned into a search engine of its own.
Brands do send products, and that is disclosed rather than buried. A supplied sample buys the same treatment a purchased one gets: it is used for as long as it takes to have an opinion, and a bad result gets published. A channel that only ever likes things is an advertising channel, and worth precisely what it costs to read.
The production side is self-hosted end to end — filming, editing, publishing, and the site itself, on our own servers and our own pipeline. That is what makes a review network run by one person feasible, and it means no part of the operation can be switched off by a platform changing its terms.
